The Lean Steward first level certification emphasizes Lean education and training. This level is ideal for participants that are relatively new to Lean principles or for organizations that require building Lean teams. A Lean Steward certification requires completion of either a Time Wise® LeanPro, or Time Wise® LeanPro Healthcare distance learning course and participation in a Time Wise Principles of Lean awareness one day simulation training event.

A simulation event can be scheduled at an organization’s facility or can be attended at a scheduled Time Wise Institute training event. After successful completion of a Lean Steward program a participant will be able to:

      •  Demonstrate a basic understanding of the entire suite of Toyota Production System techniques.
      •  Understand how each theory can be applied within their organization.
      •  Effectively participate in continual improvement events.
      •  Identify viable projects that can directly impact the bottom line.
